Water Safety Check

Safety Check - Mandatory for ALL NEW* 6&U Swimmers

* If your swimmer was on Jr. TAZ in 2012, he/she do not need to retake the safety check. If your swimmer is currently enrolled and will complete the TAZ Spring Clinic on Sundays, he/she does not need to do the safety check.

Safety Check Date:   Sunday, April 7, 2013*

Time:   Last Name A-M – 1:30 to 2:15 pm

           Last Name N-Z – 2:15 to 3:00 pm

Place:   El Dorado Hills CSD Pool

The water safety check is mandatory for ALL NEW * 6&Under swimmers to secure a spot on the 2013 TAZ swim team. All of these swimmers must come to the El Dorado Hills CSD on April 7, 2013**, to swim for our coaches (Please note times listed above). Each new swimmer must demonstrate his/her ability to swim one length of the swimming pool (25 yards) across without assistance in 2 minutes or less. One or two rests will be permitted on the lane ropes as long as the majority of the time is spent swimming the 25 yards in the two-minute time frame. Any new swimmer who does not pass the water safety check will be given a full refund less a $25 processing fee.

When you arrive at the pool with your swimmer, please check in at the table near the shallow end of the pool where your swimmer will be given a number. Please have your swimmer ready to go when his/her number is called. Each swimmer will be given one opportunity to complete the safety check. There will be no exceptions. Please do not approach the coaches during this time, as they will be watching other swimmers.

There will be swimmer coaches in the water. You will know before you leave the pool if your swimmer is considered “water safe” by our coaching staff.

** If you absolutely cannot make this date, contact Raelynn Sharp, sharp5inedh@yahoo.com to make other arrangements.

Note: It is a very good idea to get your swimmer in a pool and comfortable with swimming before the safety check.
