UPDATE: Registration for the Summer 2025 season is OPEN NOW.

The El Dorado Hills Tasmanian Devils Swim Team (Taz) is a competitive recreational swimming team, formed in 1965, which serves approximately 400 kids ages 4-18 each year. The Swimclusion® Adaptive Swim Team is a new Taz initiative to provide swim team opportunities to kids who have faced obstacles to success in a traditional swim team setting. Intended for kids who are able to swim and are water-safe, Swimclusion will provide specially trained swim coaching in a safe, compassionate environment.

Swimclusion is not swim lessons – it's a recreational swim team tailored to kids ages 5-18 who require specialized coaching and additional supports to succeed. We anticipate the team will include swimmers with autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing challenges, ADHD, and other neurological/developmental needs. To our knowledge, there are currently no organized swim teams in the Sacramento area serving these kids.

The size of the program will depend on demand, pool space, and funding, but we hope to serve between 20-30 kids in the first year. A key aspect of the program is that these swimmer-athletes will be part of the Taz swim team, not separate from it, and as such, they will have the option to participate in swim meets and other team events. In other words, it's all about “Swimclusion.”

We will also offer weekly "clinics" beginning this Fall and next Winter/Spring.  If you're interested in learning more or supporting this program as a coach, volunteer, or sponsor, please contact [email protected].
