What: TAZ’s only fundraiser for the season! This year we will be celebrating birthday party style in honor of our 60th anniversary! 

Why: Our team relies heavily on fundraising to support a high-quality swim experience for our families while keeping registration costs as low as possible. Funds raised last year went towards purchasing an additional timing system and a new record board. This is a great opportunity to support the team and enjoy a fun evening with our amazing TAZ community!

How it Works: Laps for Taz has Two Parts: a Fundraiser and a FUNraiser

First: Swimmers fundraise for the team in advance of the event (sign up here) by getting pledges (donations from family and friends). Our goal this year is $10,000!

  • Swimmers who raise $100+ will get a pair of exclusive Goodr Glasses with a custom TAZ case!  
  • Top 3 Fundraisers overall:
    • 1st Place - Personalized swim parka and $50 TAZ Spirit Wear Voucher. 
    • 2nd Place - Personalized swim parka and $25 TAZ Spirit Wear Voucher. 
    • 3rd Place - Personalized swim parka.

 

 

Second: Swimmers will attend the main event on May 2nd to swim laps and earn tickets for prizes from our team shop. Swimmers will receive tickets based on how many laps they swim and then trade in tickets for some fun prizes!

  • Anchored Eats will be on-site offering delicious kids and adult meals!
  • Dessert will be provided to all swimmers!
  • We will have music, lawn games, and an iPad photo booth with props for some added fun.
  • Families are encouraged to participate in our silent auction for some cool items.

Swimmers with the most laps in each age group (6U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13+) will win a special TAZ medal. Both the top lap swimmers and top fundraisers will receive team recognition at Time Trials on 5/10. 

Event Timing: 

  • Lanes will be set aside as follow:
    • 6:00-6:30 pm 6U and 7-8 age groups
    • 6:30-8:00 pm Open lap swimming for all ages
  • Dinner will be served from 6:00-8:00 pm.
  • The team shop will be open from 6:00-8:00 pm.
  • New for 2025!  8 O'CLOCK SHOP for those swimmers who want to swim all night and still want access to some great prizes.  Open from 8:00-8:30 pm.
  • The silent auction will close at 8:00 pm.
